KiKi: Mommy, Mommy, I see a chicken outside!
Mommy: What?!? Really?!?
KiKi: Yeah! Come see! Come see!
(Mommy joins KiKi at the window and peers outside searching for whatever bird is being mistaken for a chicken - maybe a wild turkey. I see nothing- not even a robin.)
Mommy: Do you still see the chicken?
KiKi: YES!!!
Mommy: Show me where it is.
(KiKi points.)

Oh my. I can SO relate.
On a good day I laugh.
On a bad day I question my ability to HS!
I remember when my daughter thought a monkey said, "Moo."
Luckily, it was a good day. We all laughed! It did make me wonder how effective the multiple farm books (and even the whole book devoted to chickens) really are. Maybe we need to read some squirrel books? Or maybe he just needs glasses too? :-)
